Registration—Check our home page in the spring for the class registration date and time. Returning members will also be notified in our spring mailing. At that point the “Program Registration” button on the home page will be activated and you can sign up online. You can also register in the office on the first day of classes for July and August; however, to avoid congestion and ensure your best chance of registering for the classes you want, we strongly encourage you to sign up on-line. You must register for membership on-line or by mail before registering for classes so please be sure to complete that process before signing up for classes. Further information appears under the Membership tab on this website.
Medical Information—Medical information will be required if you are registering for either youth or adult programs. Many of our programs are strenuous in nature and we need to have appropriate medical and contact information. You will be asked for medical information as part of your on-line registration process. There is also a form available on this website if you are not registering on-line.
Class Schedules and Descriptions—A schedule for our youth and adult classes is available under this tab. Please review this schedule before signing up so you are familiar with the classes, times, age requirements, and other important information. Prices are available in this section as well, and class descriptions are available under our “Sailing” or “Programs” tabs.
Age Requirements and Birth Certificates—For safety and liability reasons, a number of our programs have minimum and/or maximum age requirements with no exceptions. Requirements are as of the date the program starts (July 1st for a July program; August 1st for an August program). Our on-line registration program will only allow you to register your child if they meet the age requirement. Children will not be allowed to participate until their birth dates have been verified by a birth certificate or other proof of age. If you are registering your child for the first time, please send a copy of his or her birth certificate as soon as possible to: Program Registrar, GLPYC, P.O. Box 3740, Groton Long Point, CT 06340-1608. You do not need to submit a birth certificate if you have done so in prior years.
Enrollment Limits—Our classes have enrollment limits for safety and instructional purposes. You will be informed during on-line registration if any class is closed due to these limits.
Adult Tennis Tournaments—You can also sign up for our adult tennis tournaments online. Please see the calendar on our home page for the dates of the tournaments. Additional information on the tournaments appears in “Adult Tennis Tournaments” under the “Tennis” drop down menu in the “Programs” tab.
